AC Spring Applied Electromagnetic Brakes

AEXITORQ TECHNOLOGY’S electromagnetic AC fail safe spring applied (Power Off) safety brakes have strong and robust design. It is available with torque range 0.2 kg.m– 14 kg.m and featured by high performance cost ratio, long service life and low noise.  It is widely used in various machines, installations and equipment.

 

Principle Of Operation

When electric supply is given to the brake coils gets energized and it instantly attracts the friction plate against the spring force, thus releasing the driving shaft ad allows machine shaft to rotate freely. When supply is cut off brake coil gets de-energized resulting compressed springs push the friction plate back to its original position, which clamps the liner plate against mounting disc of the brake and stops the driving shaft instantly.
